Needed Items

  • 15 minutes prep
    10 minutes cooking time
PLUS 25 minutes for the fries, but prep those first! (unlike me)

  • 1Tbsp olive oil (or some cooking spray)
1 1/4 lbs very lean ground beef
    1/4 cup brown sugar
2-3 tsp steak seasoning blend (I use McCormick Montreal Seasoning)
    1/4 tsp garlic powder
    1 tsp salt
    1 medium onion
    1 small red bell pepper
    1 Tbsp red wine vinegar
    1 Tbsp Worchestershire sauce
2 cups (1 can) tomato sauce)
    2 Tbsp tomato paste
4-5 crusty rolls or hamburger buns
    Yukon gold potatoes
1-2 Tbsp oil of your choice
French fry seasoning of your choice (optional)

Number of Servings

  • 4-5

  • Large skillet
    Small bowl
    Cookie sheet for the fries

  • Well, if you're doing the fries, you'll want to skip to the end of the podcast and start with prepping the potatoes for the oven.
