Moist, lightly sweet fruity scones, with a hint of vanilla and cinnamon. These are not your everyday dry, crumbly, need-to-wash-them-down scones.

  • ½ lightly beaten egg
    ½ cup sour cream
    ½ tsp baking soda
    2 cups flour
    ½ cup granulated sugar
    1 tsp baking powder
    ½ tsp salt
    ¼ tsp cinnamon
    1/8 tsp nutmeg
    1/8 tsp cream of tartar
    ½ cup butter
    ¼ tsp vanilla
    ½ cup DRIED fruit of your choice (raisins, cranberries, blueberries, chopped dates, chopped mango, cherries, etc.)
    1 Tbsp whipping cream (Optional)
    Coarse decorating sugar (Optional)

  • Preheat oven to 400°
    Spray baking sheet with cooking spray
