  • 1 1/2 cups old fashioned oats (or quick-cooking)
    1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
    1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
    2/3 cup brown sugar
    1/2 cup butter (unsalted, if you have it)
    1/2 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
    1 egg
    2 tsp vanilla extract
    1/2 tsp baking soda
    1/4 tsp salt

  • Electric Mixer
    Spatula scraper
    Double boiler OR medium microwave-safe bowl
    8 x 8" or 9 x 9" baking pan
    Parchment paper
    Non-stick spray


  • Preheat oven to 350°
    Line baking pan with parchment paper and spray paper with non-stick spray
