Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound (2 sticks) unsalted butter
    1 cup packed light brown sugar
    1/2 cup granulated sugar
    2 large eggs
    2 tsp vanilla
    1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
    1 tsp baking soda
    1 Tbsp Chinese Five Spice powder (Penzeys brand recommended)
    1-2 Tbsp ground ginger, ground cinnamon, or a combination of both
    1/2 tsp salt
    3 cups quick oats (1-minute oats)
    1 cup raisins, golden raisins, or dried cranberries
